I had the honour to commence the opening ceremony of the school by reciting the "Surah Fateha" from the Holy Quran; on the first day of school under the famous "Dome".

I was the first "Head Prefect" of the school and the first head of "Sir Syed" house. I was also the "class monitor" for all three years of the first batch till 1961.
