Publican Alumni Trust holds Eid Milan and Fund Raising Dinner

The Publican Alumni Trust (PAT) held an Eid Milan and Fund Raising Dinner for its members on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Services Mess, Karachi.

The programme for the event consisted of:

• Tilawat-e-Quran
• Welcome Address - Shahid Karimullah
• The School Project - Tariq Wajid
• Fund Raising Drive - Khalid Zaki
• Closing Remarks - Javed Jabbar
• Dinner

Welcome Address was given by Admiral (Retd.) Shahid Karimullah, Chairman, Board of Trustees, PAT. During his address, he reviewed the background of PAT and the various projects conducted in the past. He also briefly outlined the the School Project being undertaken by PAT in the future.

The School Project was further explained by Mr. Tariq Wajid, Member, Board of Trustees, PAT. In his presentation, he gave details of the project including costs involved in setting up and running the school in a low income area of Karachi.

Fund Raising Drive was presented by Mr. Khalid Zaki, Secretary, Board of Trustees, PAT. He shared information on the amount committed so far and the contribution by various classes. He appealed to all Old Publicans to come forward and make contributions to the fund raising drive so that the School Project and can launched and successfully operated.

Closing Remarks were given by Mr. Javed Jabbar, Founder Chairman, Board of Trustees, PAT. In his remarks, he praised PAT for its continuing effort for further the cause of education in Pakistan and for undertaking the School Project.
