Publican Alumni Trust takes possession of School property

The Publican Alumni Trust took possession of the School property from the Babaza Foundation on January 19, 2015. This marks a major milestone in the School Project.

Over the next few months the School Committee will be responsible for refurbishing the School and making it ready for operation from August 2015. Detailed information about the School Project is given below after the photographs.

Vision

The School Project has the vision to revive the great institution that was the Cantt Public School

Long Term Plan

The long term plan is to recapture the spirit and reconstruct the school

Short Term Plan

Keeping in mind the limitation of resources, the short term plan to start with the purchase of a small property and operate a primary school. This school will be for disadvantaged children but will provide education at the quality of Cantt Public School.

Think Big - Start Small

The idea is to "Think Big" but "Start Small" with the ultimate aim of rebuilding our alma mater.

Project Description

The Publican Alumni Trust has acquired a small building located in Sector 35-A, of Korangi, Karachi. The property is built on a plot of 512 square yards and is already functioning as a primary school. The school has a capacity to cater to the needs of 250 students.

The Publican Alumni Trust School will be a primary school, supporting low-income families. It will be a coeducational school and with a professional Principal and well-trained Teachers.

The school will provide a balanced combination of authentic and positive traditions, ethical values and respect for new knowledge. It will be based on new learning modes and will include creative and sports activities in addition to a focus on academics.

How Can You Contribute

You can contribute to the School Project by donating much needed funds or by donating your time and expertise.

Donate Funds

You can generously donate funds for the School Project. To donate funds you can:

• Give a Crossed cheque in favor of “Publican Alumni Trust”
• Make a Direct Deposit in the Publican Alumni Trust bank account
• Transfer funds by Telegraphic Transfer to the Publican Alumni Trust bank account.

We need volunteers who are willing to generously give their time and expertise. If you have relevant experience in the Academic field, or have Management and Administrative expertise, or can support in Financial Control of the project, please come forward and be part of the project.
